If your dog's behavior is out of control, they are challenging you and ignoring all the boundaries you are trying to set,

you're probably feeling:

  • Frustrated by the constant struggle with your dog

  • Helpless because you just don't know how to change the situation

  • Ashamed because of your dog's poor behavior

  • Maybe you are even afraid because you have no control over what your dog does next

  • Guilty because you feel like you're not a good dog-mom and you failed your dog

To make matters worse...

You hire a "professional" dog trainer, your dog learns a few obedience commands, but the core behavior issues don't change

Precious time, money and effort was wasted and the frustration only gets worse.

Here's what makes matters worse...

If you try to get help with your dog, only to find yourself in the same position afterwards, you might think that your dog is just "untrainable" and that you have to live with the unacceptable behavior or give up on your dog.

โœจ Imagine if you could...

.. just tell your dog "no" and they would listen to you - every time and not just when they feel like it. Can you envision a wonderful, peaceful and harmonious relationship with you and your dog? A real companion, a team player?

Is the SamIvy Training Program Right for You?

What makes SamIvy training so different from other dog training programs?

Sam Ivy training is owner-focused, highly personalized, and designed to go far beyond basic sit-stay-come obedience.

Instead of handing you generic advice, you work one-on-one with an experienced professional who shows you exactly how to communicate with your dog. We donโ€™t just explain what to do, we watch you train in real time, correct things on the spot, and make sure you understand why each step works.

The result is clarity, confidence, and a dog that responds reliably in real-life situations - not just during practice.

Where are you located?

We work with dog parents nationwide and are proud to be the highest-rated dog training program in the United States.

When you book your free consultation, youโ€™ll be asked to provide your zip code so we can assign you to the right team members and ensure you receive the most relevant guidance and support.

How much do the courses cost?

We offer a wide range of structured training packages, designed to address different goals and behavior challenges.

We do not offer per-session pricing. Instead, we recommend a complete, personalised training plan that creates real, lasting change. During your free consultation, weโ€™ll explain the available options and suggest a program that works for your dog and your budget.

Is this in-home training?

Yes. Training takes place in and around your home, where your dogโ€™s real-life behavior happens.

Thereโ€™s no need to take your dog anywhere or send them away. The focus is on helping you create calm, reliable behavior in the environment where you and your dog actually live.

Is this a good fit for serious behavior issues?

Yes. Many of our clients come to us after trying other training options without success.

Our approach is designed to address behavior at its rootโ€”not just manage symptoms. During your consultation, we will explain why this training works, even in cases where previous attempts have failed, and how it creates clarity and consistency for both the dog and the owner.

This is not a surface-level program. It is a structured system built specifically for real behavior change.

What types of dogs do you work with?

We work with all breeds, sizes, and ages, including puppies, adult dogs, and seniors.

Our programs are especially effective for dogs with:

- Behavior challenges

- Anxiety or reactivity

- High energy or impulsivity

- Inconsistent obedience

- Household or real-world reliability issues

Every training plan is adapted to the dog in front of us - there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

How long does it usually take to see results?

If you follow your coachโ€™s instructions, you will typically see changes in behavior quickly.

Because you are actively training your dog from the very beginning, with real-time guidance and correction, youโ€™re not waiting weeks to understand what works. You learn exactly what to do, how to do it, and why it works.

Long-term success depends on consistency. The difference is that, unlike many other training programs, you are never left guessing. You maintain the structure and the results because you were the one who built them from the start.

What kind of commitment is required from me?

Your involvement is essentialโ€”but youโ€™re never left guessing or left on your own.

Most clients meet with their coach one to two times per week for one hour. Between sessions, your coach will give you clear โ€œhomeworkโ€: specific skills to practice, rules to implement, and adjustments to make at home.

You should plan to work with your dog for at least 15โ€“20 minutes per day.

Between sessions, youโ€™ll always have direct access to your coach by text message, so questions can be answered as they come up. You are supported throughout the process, every step of the way.

Whatโ€™s the best way to find out if this is a good fit?

The best first step is a free, dedicated one-on-one consultation with one of our Dog Behavior Specialists.

This conversation is educational, not high-pressure. Weโ€™ll discuss your dog, your goals, and your challenges, and explain exactly what a Sam Ivy training program can do for you and your dog, so you can make an informed decision with confidence.

Iโ€™m not ready to make a decision yet. I just want more information.

Thatโ€™s exactly what the free consultation is for.

Thereโ€™s no pressure to enroll. The goal is to help you understand your options, what your dog actually needs, and whether a Sam Ivy training program is the right fit. Even if you decide not to move forward, youโ€™ll leave the conversation with clarity and direction, not sales pressure.

Here are 3 very common misconceptions that people have about dog training:

BREAK THE MYTH #1

I need a dog trainer to train my dog for me

False: If you let someone else train your dog for you, your dog will learn to respect and listen to that person - and not you. Respect is not transferrable!

You can't get someone to repair a problematic relationship for you without you being an active part of the equation.

Try finding an expert that can fix a troubled marriage without both parties being actively involved.

The same applies to the relationship between you and your dog. You also must be actively involved in the training - day one, minute one.

BREAK THE MYTH #2

I need to get help with "fixing" my dog, as my dog is clearly a "problem"

False: In reality, nothing could be further from the truth - your dog doesn't need to be "fixed," and there is nothing wrong with your dog!

So why did things go wrong?

You did what you thought would be best for your dog, with nothing but the best intentions - you treated your dog like you would have treated your child. The problem is that
your dog doesn't understand "human," and this lapse in proper communication made things turn sour.

BREAK THE MYTH #3

Obedience training will make my dog behave better

False: Teaching your dog to "sit", "stay" and "come" will not eliminate any core behavior issues. The idea that you can replace bad behavior solely by practicing good behavior is non-sense. It simply doesn't work.

Chances are your dog already knows that "sit" means "put your butt down", right? But do they actually listen to you when you really need them to? If you're like most people, you already know that all the obedience your dog has learned goes right out the window when your dog gets triggered or distracted.

Which brings you to the question...

What's this innovative approach to dog training that makes all the difference?

(Tried-and-tested to guarantee lasting results)

We've helped 1000s of clients transform their relationship with their dogs, and here's what this tried-and-tested process comes down to:

1. Empowering Dog-Owners: We educate you on how to communicate with your dog the right way. So your dog understands you and accepts the boundaries you set, happily embracing you as the one in charge - true empowerment through knowledge.

2. A Solid Foundation: Instead of jumping right into obedience training like any other dog trainer, we start by showing you how to build a solid foundation of trust and respect first: Your dog will learn to focus on you, listen to you, and trust in your leadership.

3. Expert Guidance: This is not just some cookie- cutter video course. You will be working 1-on-1 with an experienced dog behavior expert and your course will be tailored to your individual needs
