Jackie Ingraffia is a Florida native Who has lived in the Tampa area for the majority of her life. Jackie didn't grow up with dogs but did grow up with cats. At sixteen she finally got her first dog, a golden retriever named Circe. Circe lived a long life but passed away before Jackie joined the Sam Ivy K9 Consultants team.
When she began working with Sam Ivy she was the only member on the team who did not own a dog of her own. After some months Jackie got Casey, an Australian Shepherd puppy. Jackie has used her new skills to train Casey to the highest levels of obedience. Casey's strongest skill is spot training, a tool Jackie uses daily. Together Jackie and Casey enjoy throwing and catching a frisbee, working on new skills and sometimes going out for lunch with friends.
Outside of dog training, Jackie enjoys doing anything artistic including painting, playing music, brushing up on photography, baking and singing karaoke.
Jackie was trained directly under Sam Ivy and Bradley Bourque and is certified Team Trainer in Proper Pack Behavior, Basic to Advanced Obedience, Off-Leash and Service Dog Training. Jackie is up for promotion mid 2017 to Team Coordinator and may be moving to Orlando to lead her own team helping even more owners and their dogs live happy peaceful lives.
In her own words "I truly enjoy my job because it allows me not just to help make animal lives better, but people's lives better as well. I find specific joy in working with aggressive dogs and turning them into properly behaved companions; these dogs people typically think have no option. I don't just see this as a job, this is what I would like to do with the rest of my life, it is an extremely fulfilling career. The best thing about this job is our awesome team and fantastic leadership. I think we have the best team of people in the world. We are passionate and enthusiastic about what we do. I've learned a lot in this job and that has not only positively affected my work but my personal life as well."
